The vehicle with 85,000 miles has suffered a catastrophic internal component failure of the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system, rendering it incredibly dangerous to drive. Because the control module and motor are permanently sealed inside the steering gear assembly, a simple electrical failure forces a complete replacement of the rack. My truck's electric power steering (EPS) gets stuck in a left-hand turn and does not return to center. I have to physically turn the steering wheel to get it to return to center which causes the vehicle to over-steer, causes jerky movements and makes drives at highway speeds very unsafe. After my warranty was up, my rear back up sensor stopped working. The camera still works but the warning sensor stopped and is giving me a warning on the dash.

On August 20 i received an update for the Uconnect blue screen in reverse recall. In doing this update it created a new problem with the u connect screen creating a blinding/distracting light in night time driving. They removed a setting theme mode which would keep the screen in dark mode. Without this setting the screen is in white mode. ABS control module has failed and the vehicle cannot shift into gear and will not move. Dealership verified failure and the part is on 2 to 3 year back order. Part also apparently cannot be repaired by a 3rd party due to the chips no longer being manufactured. Only way to repair and make the vehicle operable is to purchase a used module from another donor vehicle which is also suspect and potentially unsafe. My 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel has recurring electrical/communication failures that occur every day. When driving between 18/25 miles per hour the engine Revs up to 6000 RPM and truck loses power.
